Automobili Costantini
The commission

A familiar car.
Entirely your own.

A Panda 4x4 has always been a personal kind of car. A commission with Automobili Costantini starts with how you want to live with it.

Discover the process
Restoration, with intention

Considered from the start.

Restoring an existing car means working with its history. Before decisions about colours and materials, we consider the foundation: the donor vehicle, its condition and the work your commission requires.

From there, we bring the mechanical work and the personal details together around one clear brief.

The journey of a commission

01

A first conversation

Tell us what draws you to the Panda, where you imagine driving it and what matters most to you. Everyday use, country roads and time by the coast each suggest a different approach.

We discuss the model and the character you want the finished car to have, establishing a shared direction before the details begin.

02

The right foundation

Every restomod begins with an existing vehicle. Its condition informs the restoration, from the structure and bodywork to the mechanical components that need attention.

Donor suitability, the proposed scope and the practical considerations of the project form part of the discussion before work is agreed.

03

Your specification

Paint, upholstery and finishing details give the car its individual character. We consider how the materials sit together, how they feel in use and how they complement the Panda’s straightforward design.

The aim is a coherent car, with personal choices that feel natural to its original proportions.

04

Restoration & assembly

The agreed brief guides the restoration and modernisation. Bodywork, mechanical attention and interior finishing are brought together with care for the original car.

We retain and reuse suitable components wherever possible, balancing preservation with the work needed to give the Panda its next chapter.

05

The final details

As the car comes together, the focus turns to the complete result: the finish, the fit of the interior and the way each chosen detail relates to the rest.

Handover arrangements and the information you need to live with your car are discussed as part of completing the commission.

Before we begin

Every donor is different

The work involved depends on the starting car and the agreed specification. Scope, timing and costs are discussed for your individual project.

Bring your ideas

A colour reference, a favourite journey or a particular way you plan to use the car is a useful starting point. The brief can develop through our conversations.
